Ok fellas, I am making an exception to the rule but because this is my site I can do that if ya know what I mean!  Look at this potential NC state record buck killed in Hertford County, NC recently.  This a Bow and Arrow Buck!  No beagles running it but i can only imagine if beagles had gotten on this old wise monster!

Here is a 10pt killed Saturday 11/13 in the Tech block. I wish I had got a better picture of this nice buck. He was heavy and his beams palmated where they turned out past his ears. "Spookie" killed the buck after a few hounds rounded and rounded with him. 'Ol Spookie is about 70 years old and doesn't move around a whole lot. Spookie was sitting in his Chevrolet out in the middle of a cut corn field. Gordon was pulling up on the black top and saw the buck come into the field. He called Spookie on the radio and Spook eased out the door and killed him with his shotgun at 20 yards.

This is a right nice 8pt killed by Christian Bland at St John’s Hunt Club . I think Christian is 12 or 13, not exactly sure. Christian was back in the Coastal Cut Over in the Tech block when he killed this buck and a couple nanny's. Christian said he shot him at about 50 yards running across that cut over.

 Dogs had a small spike killed in front of them in the early afternoon, I got two of them back and had put them up for the evening.  I got a hysterical call from a club member saying a nice buck was standing in a field we sometimes hunt.  The buck then came out of the field and crossed a driveway of a farm we hunt, I hurried over and collared up the two beagles I had and turned out on this nice 8 point.  They ran him across a hard surface road where me and the boy who killed it got in front of him. He shot him across a cutover at 90 steps with a
shotgun and thought it was a miss.  After about 5 minutes you could hear a small ruckus and the dogs had caught him. I got about 20 yards away as the other boy was still at the truck and he jumped back up and took off running again for about 100 yards and the dogs caught him again.  That was where it ended.  8 point, 25 inches outside.
Killed in Dinwiddie, Va with Community Hunt Club.

 Both of these bucks were killed 12/4/10 in Ahoskie, NC (St John’s Hunt Club). The one buck must of broke his main beam in velvet. It grows straight down at his G2 on the right side. As usual, we were running both Beagles and Walkers.

I killed this 7 pointer 11/06/10 in St. John’s Hunt Club over in Ahoskie, NC. He is 17” inside with 9” tines and weighed 180 pounds. We were hunting over on the Liverman Mill Road and saw several nice bucks. There were only 2 Beagles and 4 Walkers running this buck. Submitted by Josh Brothers.

Sending a few pictures from Saturday 11/13 in St John Hunt Club. All of these bucks were killed in the Tech block and had a mix of Beagles and Walkers running them. We had a heck of a day, we killed five 8pts and nice 10pt and saw bucks right up until dark. This first picture is of two 8pts I killed Saturday. I shot both of the in the same place, coming down the same old logging road in a corner of the pine block. I had both on the truck by 0900. I saw 2 more bucks slipping through that I never raised the gun at. The buck on the right is old, he weighed 180lbs and didnt have a dang tooth in his mouth. Pic1. This is Lane's first deer in front of the dogs ever and it was a 7pt. Fortunately it was in front of half of my pack of beagles. Even thought the chase only lasted about 2 mins it was some good music.
 
pic2. First decent buck (6pt) killed this year in front of some guys in the club's beagles. The guy in the picture even had some of his puppies in on the chase that ran him the deer.
These bucks were Killed in Dinwiddie, VA.

7 pointer taken by Stone Shores in Blakeys Hunt Club, Middlesex County, VA.

We dropped about 10 hounds out at daybreak on a small 8 pointer I had seen
crossing a road that morning.  During that chase someone spotted this buck
slipping out of the way of the pack.  I dropped my pack of beagles on him, and
it didn't take long for him to wind up on the wrong end of Stone's gun.  I'd love
to tell you it was an hour long barn burner of a chase, but it wasn't.  10 minutes
tops, but the job got done.

Christian Bland killed this buck on 11/26/10 in Ahoskie, NC with St John’s Hunt Club. I saw the buck slipping across a cotton field about 200 yards away. I let him know I saw him and got the boys around there to turn loose on him. The buck must have been confused after I slung them rifle balls because he went in a 10 acre block of planted pines and squatted. We turned 3 Beagles and 3 Walkers out. The hounds struck him off and circled the pines. The buck went across the path where a boy missed him. This time he went in another small block. The boys had held some dogs back from the first crossing and put some more on him. He went straight out the back and Christian hammered him.
